Image overlays for slippy maps and slippy images.

We load tiles from public tile sets and overlay an image onto each tile. The overlay service acts as a proxy. This is the most efficient way to operate, and is great for mobile, but you must have permission to access the public tile set.
Your image is baked onto tiles with a transparent background, so they can be used as a layer on top of another map. This is slower and slightly less visually appealing than the direct baking, but can be used with a wider range of tile sets.
You can use the tile service to display small sections of large images at different zoom levels. This is particularly helpful on mobile devices with limited image sizes. Slippy images are useful where a direct link to a map is not required (an indoor building layout for example).
